About Me
I spent over 10 years as a creative art and sandplay therapist in schools, providing counselling and therapeutic interventions. During this time, I worked at the Island Learning Centre, (the IW Pupil Referral Unit) leading the team that provided creative counselling and therapy to the young people who attended the school.
In the last three years I have been based in a local counselling charity as a clinical manager, where I have worked creatively with young people aged 4-25 years and their families.
I work with all ages, and specialise in working with younger children and their families. I have a lot of experience of working with young people with disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, Tourettes and OCD.
I work in a creative way with children with disabilities as I know they sometimes find it hard to verbalise their worries and difficulties, so I adapt the way I work for each individual and their family.
